Born in Indianapolis and raised in Cleveland, Steve Burton moved to California in his teens to pursue an acting career. He won a daytime Emmy Award for his role as Jason Quartermaine Morgan in General Hospital and made his feature film debut in Last Castle.

The actor has lent his voice to the character of Cloud Strife in numerous Square Enix titles. He is set to reprise the role in the upcoming Final Fantasy VII prequel Crisis Core.
