Ted Woolsey

Ted Woolsey

Localization specialist

Ted Woolsey was the primary translator and US producer of Squaresoft's role-playing games during the SNES era. He joined the company in 1991, and his first project was aiding in the localization of Final Fantasy IV. During his tenure with Square, he was instrumental in the English-language translations of Final Fantasy VI, Secret of Mana, Final Fantasy Mystic Quest, Chrono Trigger, and Super Mario RPG: Legend of the Seven Stars. After leaving Square, he founded Big Rain and served as executive producer on the role-playing game Worlds Within, released in 1999 as Shadow Madness. Later, he became a founding member of of Real Arcade's casual games division, where he works today as General Manager of Online Game Service.
