If one should say anything about an cinni?int, then it would be that this album sounds almost exactly like a musical successor to Chrono Cross' soundtrack. This first album by Mitsuda's own Procyon Studio label, Sleigh Bells, sounds like a refined version of the celtic feel Chrono Cross and in some ways Xenogears (or more precisely, Creid) put forward. With Tsugunai's soundtrack the music is more appropriate - Chrono Cross' Gale seemed out of place, while battle themes like that one are more in inherent part of this album.
In any case, an cinni?int represents mostly a final attempt by Mitsuda at implementing this style into an album. Works to follow this one started to veer off in another direction (such as Xenosaga), so finding out what he intended his work with Xenogears and Chrono Cross to be is an interesting conclusion to a very unique type of game music.
